In the United States, Trade Associations play an important role in coordinating the activities and promoting the common policy positions of stakeholders within a specific industry sector. Trade Associations can be an essential resource in determining which standards, conformity assessment procedures, and technical regulations apply to a given industry. In addition, they can offer several targeted services and networking opportunities for these stakeholders.

As a coordinator of the U.S. standards system, ANSI has developed this Trade Association Directory to help international stakeholders learn more about the Trade Associations active in the U.S. and the services they can provide.
