Exporting to Brazil: Key Information

Brazil is a key export market for the U.S., consistently ranking in the top ten export markets for goods, and representing a large market for U.S. services. Standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment play a vital role in any company's competitiveness – both at home and in the global marketplace.

The information on the standards and conformity assessment systems of Brazil will be developed in cooperation between the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) and the Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Qualidade e Tecnologia (Inmetro) as part of the activities under the tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2015.
