Organizational Overview

NSF International, The Public Health and Safety Company™, a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, is the world leader in standards development, product certification, education, and risk-management for public health and safety. For 65 years, NSF has been committed to public health, safety, and protection of the environment. While focusing on food, water, and the environment, NSF develops national standards, provides learning opportunities through the Center for Public Health Education, and provides third-party conformity assessment services while representing the interests of all stakeholders. Chinese manufacturers require independent system registration and product certification in order to facilitate access to international markets. NSF International responded to our customers' needs by establishing a joint venture in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China with Shanghai Audit Centre of Quality System (SAC) in 2005.

The joint venture, NSF Shanghai Co., Ltd., is approved by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) and is authorized to provide comprehensive services to customers requiring management system registration, product certification service of NSF International, or both. Services include product certification in the areas of food and water as well as food safety systems registration. Tailor-made training and seminars can also be arranged.
